Abstract

In the present study the retrospective development and implementation of optical methods and means of high current and voltage measurements, considered physical effects and processes underlying. Proposed a classification of such funds. Based on the characteristics and low, until the practice of their use in high-voltage power lines abroad, reviewed the advantages and difficulties of implementing this type of equipment.
