Abstract

The basic GL-model represents the behavior of the fault-tolerant multiprocessor systems (FTMS) in a stream of failures, the number of which does not exceed the allowable value. If the reliability of the developed system is insufficient, it may be raised by providing tolerance of the FTMS to some failures of higher order. To maintain the adequacy of the model with behavior of the system in a stream of failures it can be modified, in particular by changing its edge functions. This paper solves the problem of finding criteria for selection of pairs of edge functions, that are expedient to be modified.
